At first I thought it's a rip version/DB issue, but it also happens on an actual old PC with DOS, using the original game CD.Īt first I tried to patch the game to 1.1 version, as the readme suggested, that the crashing issue should be fixed in 1.1, and if it doesn't help - turning off the sound in setup will. I played the CD Rip version earlier on the DosBox, and the same problem occured. Every time I exit the game, DOS4GW crashes witn error 0Dh, indicating a general protection fault, and freezes the PC (only the Reset button helps). After all every level is self contained and all the quest item and keys needed to complete it are located within it.Anybody remembers this fine RPG/dungeon crawler? I think that the combination of clicked switches, turned skeleton key, and depressed pressure plates opens the exit on the West side of the Barrier.

I'm not really sure of how I became unstuck, but keep in mind that you also need four ivory keys and a skeleton key to complete the level and open the western exit to cross the chasm.
I realize that the thread is dead, but I just endured a very frustrating 50 minutes stuck in the same predicament, so I thought I'd give my two cents.
